Classical Concert Series
2007-2008
For twenty-six years, Seton Hall University's Arts Council Concert Series has offered New Jersey great musical performances in presenting more than 80 concerts. The series has featured world-class soloists and ensembles from around the globe, including pianists Emanuel Ax, Bella Davidovich, Ruth Laredo, John O’Conor and Rudolph Firkusny, flutist Ransom Wilson, and koto player Fusako Yoshido. Ensembles have included the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the Orpheus Ensemble, the Emerson and Takacs string quartets, and the Tallis Scholars.
These artists have played to capacity audiences in Seton Hall’s Jubilee Auditorium. Our three concert season will be presented in the new and intimate South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), centrally located in South Orange Village less than a mile from the University's gates.
