Dr. David P. B??eau grew up in Italy, earned a Bachelor?s degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, then a Ph.D. in Italian and Medieval Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1991. 

Now Associate Professor of Italian in the Department of Modern Languages, Dr. B??eau has taught at Seton Hall University since 1992.  He is the author of one book, a translation of a Renaissance work entitled The Ceramist?s Secrets, and numerous articles on Medieval Italian literature. 

Dr. B??eau is on sabbatical in 2005-06.

Fred Booth received his B.A. in Classics in 1972 from Rutgers College and his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Classics in 1983.  His main interests are mythology, Greek and Roman epic, and the classical tradition.  At Seton Hall, Dr. Booth teaches all levels of Latin, as well as Classical Mythology, Ancient Historians, Ancient Politicians, Greek and Roman Civilization, and Greek and Roman Poetry and other courses in translation.  Since 2003, he has been the co-leader of the Classical Studies Department?s annual spring break study trip to Italy.

Charlotte Nichols is Associate Professor of Art History.  She received her PhD from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and specializes in Italian Renaissance art.  Prof. Nichols participated in an undergraduate program in Florence, Italy, and later lived in Rome while a Fellow at the American Academy in Rome.

Gabriella Romani is Assistant Professor of Italian. She received her laurea from the University of Rome La Sapienza and her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
