Mission

The Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus (PMPDPP) program is committed to the education of economically and academically disadvantaged high school students who are seeking an undergraduate education to prepare for study in a medical, veterinary, dental or other health related field, as well as graduate level programs that lead to such careers.

Purpose

For more than twenty years, the PMPDPP of Seton Hall University has helped students gain acceptance into medical, dental and other professional schools. Our primary goal is to maintain a supportive environment, allowing for the promotion of academic and social development. The PMPDPP provides each student with the necessary tools and resources required for a smooth transition to medical school.

The Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program (PMPDPP) can prepare you for the demands of professional or graduate school. Our Program is designed for highly motivated students who possess the will to succeed but require academic and financial assistance.

The New Jersey Commission on Higher Education created the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program to assist in providing opportunities to New Jersey students who have been historically denied access to careers in the health professions.

Participation in PMPDPP begins with our summer enrichment program. The summer program provides an excellent introduction into pre-medical studies through coursework in science, math, writing and study skills.

If you have considered a career in medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry or other allied fields, but you have concerns about academic criteria and financial assistance, this program may be for you.
