Russian Ambassador, Sergey Lavrov, the United Nations Permanent Representative, discussed international security issues including terrorism, at his lecture, on October 1st, of 2002. The lecture was cosponsored by the School of Diplomacy and Russian and East European Studies Program. After the lecture and long question-and answer session, Tyrone gave the Ambassador Slavic Club t-shirt, as a token of our appreciation, and all the 100+ guests were treated to a homemade Slavic feast prepared and served by the Slavic Club members. This important event took place at the Walsh Library.
