Seton Hall University's Department of Communication offers a wide variety of theatrical opportunities for students.

"The Nerd" Spring 2002
The two hundred and fifty seat Theatre-in-the-Round is located in the Bishop Dougherty Student Center. Based on the successful models of Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. and the Circle in the Square in NYC, this unique theatre offers a wonderful sense of intimacy and a chance to explore creative staging as well as set and lighting designs.
All Seton Hall University students are invited to attend auditions for the four productions which are chosen and directed by Communication Dept. faculty members. Anyone can volunteer to help out backstage and in the scene shop. (Several work-study positions are available.)
Students are allowed to submit ideas for and direct Theatre Council productions.
Selected students are asked to participate in Summer Theatre-in-the-Round.
The Celtic Theatre Company, in residence at Seton Hall, is made up of SHU Alumni and often professional actors like Tony award winner Anna Manahan. SHU students are regularly invited to perform with them.
The Theatre-in-the-Round is located in the

Student productions are sponsored by the University Arts Council & the Department of Communication
